This major cable landing station in Highbridge was built in 2001 by troubled Tycom, It was acquired by Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) in 2005 and then rebranded in 2007 to Tata Communications. 

This cable landing station is used for the TGN Northern Europe cable to Eemshaven, Netherlands. On the UK side, the land cable heads south to Stratford and on the Netherlands side, heads south east to Amsterdam. 

It’s built using 64x 10Gbps wavelengths across 4 fibre pairs providing 640Gbps per fibre, 2.56Tbps in total.
