BT Mevagissey

This location is a BT exchange for 2,200 properties, as well as a switching station for the TAT-14 cable.

In 1999, BT submitted (Planning Permission) to make some changes to the layout and security of the building. 4 duct’s run between here and BT King’s Hill CLS in Bude. (Fujitsu Case Study)

Chambers outside the Exchange

It is thought the cable lands at Pentewan with a local farm yard building being the actual cable landing station. This is due to the upgraded roof,  matching anodised aluminum louvers of Mevagissey exchange upgrades and high-output electricity sub-station.

Likely Pentewan - Cable Landing Site

The TAT-14 (H leg) leaves Pentewan  and head’s towards St Valery, France.
