Bristol Bandwidth Triangle

All around the world, The Internet networks are converged and centralised in a number of data centres just in a few square miles, such as here in the UK, London is our internet hub with Canary Wharf in Dockland’s being home to many interconnections and data centres.

Here in the South-West, Bristol is home to a Triangle internet backbone PoP’s, from such carriers as Vodafone, Verizon, BT, CenturyLink, Zayo and Western Power Telecom all converging in one square’ish mile. St.Philips to be precise.

This means, mobile and rural alt-net broadband connections may connect via Bristol to reach London and many connections from the UK, routing through London may pass Bristol on it’s way to America via Bude or Highbridge.

These hidden network locations route connections via the fastest / cheapest routes, inter-connecting with multiple networks from multiple carriers thus making the internet as defined. Bristol is most certainly on the Map! All Bristol needs now is an Internet Exchange making it a destination rather than a ”just passing through” point of call. 🙂
